This massive pitcher-like artefact from rural Pakistan is called ‘Matti’ in Punjabi. It is made with solid bronze that’s been hand-worked into an intricate perforated pattern.

Originally used with a natural fabric lining for storing and airing grain in the house while keeping it safe from rodents and creepy crawlies, this bad boy has been fitted with a big filament bulb and is now a spectacular lamp.
