Literally meaning 'Porcelain House', Chini Khana originated in Persia in the early seventeenth century as an architectural device for the display of precious Chinese porcelains.
These decorative displays are handcrafted using carcasses of salvaged drawers formerly used for storing fossils at The Hunterian Museum, Glasgow.
